Publication Ethics

The ethical policies of Journal of Urban Peripheral Development (JUPD) are based on the principles of the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://publicationethics.org/),  and the observance of the Iranian Ministry of Science Research and Technology the ethical for publications. Authors, reviewers, academic secretaries and editors must adhere to these ethical principles when working with this journal.

Any infringements of professional ethical codes, such as plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, bogus claims of authorship, should be taken very seriously by the editors with zero tolerance. JUPD follows the Code of Conduct (http://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct) follows the COPE Flowcharts (http://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts) for Resolving Cases of Suspected Misconduct.

 

Duties and responsibilities of publisher, editors, reviewers, and authors

Responsibilities of the publisher

This publication promises that the decisions made in relation to the submitted articles are based only on professional judgments and are far from personal interests.

This publication is committed to preserving academic and research records.

This publication monitors ethics by editors and secretaries, editorial staff, and reviewers.

This publication will make necessary corrections, explanations, and withdrawals when needed.

This publication will deal with any abuse if it is proven.

 

Responsibilities of the editors

The editors of this journal must keep the submitted articles confidential until they are published.

The editors, and reviewers make the decisions regarding whether or not to publish an article.

The secretaries of this journal must retain the anonymous principle of the reviewers.

The editors of this journal must avoid conflicts of interest.

The editors of this journal are required to observe scientific protection and try to meet the scientific needs of their readers.

The editors of this journal should identify plagiarism, fraud, and possible scams, and provide corrections, explanations, and withdrawals and apologies as needed.

The editors of this journal should focus their attention only on rational content.

The editors of this journal should not disclose the information of articles to people other than authors, responsible authors and judges.

Unpublished articles will not be used for personal purposes by academic professors or other members.

 

Responsibilities of the reviewers:

The reviewers of this publication should cooperate with the managing editor to decide on the publication of the submitted articles

The reviewers invited to this publication should try to keep the submitted articles confidential.

The reviewers should provide feedback to managing editor to decide whether or not to publish an article in a timely manner.

Peer reviewers are required to keep the submitted articles confidential and not to use their information for personal purposes.

The opinions of the reviewers regarding the submitted articles should be technical and specialized.

The reviewers should not review articles in which there is a conflict of interest with one of the authors, companies, or institutions.

 

Responsibilities of the authors: 

Articles should not be published elsewhere (except as an abstract or part of a lecture, review article, or dissertation) or reviewed by another publication.

The corresponding author must ensure the consent of the other co-authors.

The authors are to ensure and obtain the permission of the institution to which the submitted article belongs.

One of the conditions for submitting an article is that the authors allow it to be edited for greater readability.

The authors are expected to mention the grant and funding to implement and prepare the research process.

The Moral Commitment Form must be signed by the authors

In this open access journal, authors have the right to own their article, but they also allow the public to download, print, and distribute their article.

All authors of an article must agree on a corresponding author for the subsequent revision process after submitting a copy.

When the author or authors of an article see a significant error in their work, they should immediately notify the managing editor of the journal to correct it.

Because plagiarism is serious and immoral, all authors should be aware that articles submitted to this journal checks the articles by plagiarism software.

All authors should study the process of submitting an article in this journal.

 

Examples of violations of publishing ethics

Plagiarism: Plagiarism means the intentional use of another person's articles or ideas in one's own name. Even using another person's sentence or previous sentences without mentioning the source is considered theft. All articles submitted to this journal are checked by plagiarism software.

Data fabrication and distortion: Data fabrication is when the researcher has not done a study in practice but presents data and conclusions. Distortion also occurs when a research alerts data and results.

Simultaneous submission: When an article is submitted to two or more journals simultaneously.

Duplicate submission: Occurs when two or more articles have the same assumptions, data, and results.

Duplicate submission (additional): means dividing a study into multiple articles and submitting them.

Incorrect sharing by another author: All authors listed in the article should contribute to it.

Manipulation of sources: When several sources are mentioned at the end of an article, while they are not mentioned in the content of the text.
